Istanbul Airport becomes official host of Routes World 2023

A ceremony was held at Istanbul Airport International Departures Terminal as Istanbul Airport became the official host of Routes World 2023.

Speaking at the ceremony, Turkish Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA) Director General Yalçın Lokmanhekim said Istanbul Airport is one of the biggest investments in the civil aviation, not only in Turkey but also in the world.

Stating that Istanbul Airport is Turkey’s gateway to the world, Lokmanhekim said: “Since its establishment in July 2019, the Turkish Promotion and Development Agency aims to help Turkey, brand Turkey and Turkish tourism to find the place they deserve and aim for in the world, on international markets. Our goal is to make our country, the Turkey brand and our tourism brand known, talked about and preferred around the world. To this end, our country is currently promoted in 140 countries thanks to the campaigns carried out by TGA. he said.

Lokmanhekim said that they promote Turkey, products and tourist destinations in 10 different languages ​​with the GoTurkiye platform and try to diversify these activities.

Emphasizing that they also support international organizations organized in Turkey to help promote the Turkish brand, Lokmanhekim said: “We will welcome thousands of visitors to Istanbul during Routes World 2023, one of the largest organizations in world that Istanbul airport will welcome in 2023. Turkish Airlines (THY) General Manager Bilal Ekşi expressed his pleasure to host the Routes World 2023 event, which will be held on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Republic, under the name of THY.
